The Findlay Military Association and affiliated groups pulled out all the stops for their 25th anniversary show last May.   With over 200 vehicles, this show had it all, quantity, quality, and variety.   It continues to be hosted by the same trio of groups, the Ohio Motor Pool, The Marlboro Volunteers, and the Findlay Military Association, and for the 25th year it was the same well organized, family oriented event as always, but there was just more of it!

One of the highlights of the show was the M1A1 Abrams, which made an appearance courtesy of General Dynamics from Lima, OH.   Transportation of the M1A1 was made possible by sponsorship from a handful of local veterans organizations.   It was also nice to have the Abrams lined up next to a Sherman, a Stuart, and an M16A1 half-track, and an LVT.

For next year, and likely the next few to come, Roger was thrilled to tell me that the show will take a decidedly Viet Nam direction.   The Findlay Military Association has now partnered with the Department of Defense to take part in official Viet Nam commemorations, and plans for next year include a Huey Helicopter and a Viet Nam Veterans walking parade that will take place just before the Saturday pass in review.   Roger exclaimed, "I am so excited to have the opportunity to honor our Viet Nam veterans.   I really am excited about this".   Everyone at the OMP hopes you had a great time at last year's show, and we also look forward to seeing you again at this year's event, May 17-19, 2013.
