As "Findlays" of late would go, the 2015 show was a relatively pleasant weekend weather wise.
Beside a few intermittent showers on Saturday, things were basically dry and a lot warmer than last year. The
vehicle turnout was terrific, and seemed to cover more of the now familiar fairgrounds. The vendors were
also plentiful and so were the crowds of happy spectators. Seemed like a win, win, win, win to me!
In past years, these photo features have been broken down into wartime and post-war vehicles, however as time
goes by and the number of post-war vehicle continues to swell, this gets more impractical. Therefore
this year will be handled a little different, with this set featuring all WWII vehicles, plus post-war
quarter-ton vehicles.
Of note among these were David Areola from Fairborn, OH with his 1943 Diamond T M3 half-track and towed artillery
piece, and Chip Lytle who showed off his Chevy crash truck that he managed to rescue from Wright-Pat AFB.
This year also saw several resto-projects make their debut, including a sharp WC-21 Dodge half-ton in Navy colors
brought by James Hrib from Manuta, OH, who even managed to equip it with an authentic sailor from the truck's marked
unit. More new arrivals came from John and Kevin Hess, who displayed a very fresh M422 Mighty-Mite, and
also Wayne Dietz from Youngstown, OH who has been busy with his 1972 M151A2.
Any way you look at it, the Findlay show continues to be just more of a good thing. See You There!
