The Hetzer was a completely new design using the proven components of the Czech 38(t). The
vehicle suffered somewhat from a cramped fighting compartment and a limited angle of fire, however
it went on to become one of the most successful tank destroyer designs ever built. The Hetzer
proved itself so capable that it soldiered on after the war with both the Czech and Swiss armies,
which is how these examples were obtained.
